Dear Mom…

The song says everything I can’t say without fear of you/Dad punishing me.

My *Wonderful* Mother

I just got home from the dentist, everything’s going good, at least I have no oral diseases. But I do have a cavity, a tiny one on the last tooth my dentist checked. My dentist looks like a knock-off guido, not that it matters, just thought that I’d throw that in there, Anyway, well Mom’s not happy. She seems to think that I enjoy spending money because I “can’t rush my teeth right.” Obviously she doesn’t know me. I absolutely, positively hate making my father spend extra money on me. I hate being a burden on somebody. And sometimes I feel like I’m just that, especially at that moment. Sometimes, a lot of times, my mom just makes situations so much worse than they already are. As if I didn’t feel bad already… Sad smile

Away In A Manger

Jesús en pesebre, sin cuna, nació;

Wrote An Essay Today

Today's essay was on bullying. Bullying is very near and dear to my heart<3 I've been bullied every now and again. But here's the essay:

Recently on the news, there was this 14 year old boy named Jamie Rodemeyer. He committed suicide because he was being teased about his sexual orientation. Bullying is an issue that has always been there. Everyone can recall a time when we felt left out or when we were teased. Bullying causes people to not feel worthy of life, they feel like there is no point in living. Thus why suicide is one the leading causes in death of children 13-18. Our society is judgmental, let's face it. It's in our human nature to judge. I think that if we stopped judging, started putting ourselves in each , and started standing up for what's right, bullying would decline dramatically.
All day, every day you are judged. Most commonly you are judged for your appearance and your demeanor, as well as your personality. When we judge people we tend to raise insecurities on a person. We all know how it feels to be insecure. For example, in the movie "Mean Girls" there is a character, Regina George, who "rules the school." She is the queen bee, and literally terrorizes many of the girls, as well as some teachers, in the school. She judges them based on their outer appearance. The main problem with this is that some people are going through hard times. We all can't afford the same things. We all can't wear Holister  and Aeropostale name brand clothing. That person who isn't wearing name brand clothes, may be the most loyal, dependable friend you'd ever have. But you'd never know it because you judged based on their appearance.
Imagine you were the one being judged. You felt all eyes on you as if they were sizing you up. We've all been there, the first day of school, job interviews, etc. Being sized up doesn't exactly build self-confidence, but it definitely builds self-awareness. You start watching what you say or do, hoping to fit in. You start to become insecure about yourself and your actions. See bullies, they target those insecurities. Those insecurities that they made. They will keep terrorizing and harassing until they see you break. Imagine having to deal with watching what you say and with a bully saying the meanest things to you. This is the reason why it is so important, to think before you speak, and in this generation, it also applies to typing as well. It's like now, no one remembers the golden rule. "Do unto others as would like done unto you." If we all just followed that simple rule, the world wouldn't be such a cruel, cruel place.
Watching someone getting bullied, is almost the same as doing the bullying. You're standing there watching this poor person be degraded and talked down to, but you're not doing anything about it. If you were in that situation, wouldn't you want someone to help you out? To notice what was happening and try to stop it? If people just stood up and spoke up about what was happening to them, or a friend, or even a complete stranger, it'd be much easier to keep people from becoming depressed. The problem would be able to be handled and resolved. By standing up for that person who is being victimized, you're showing that there is hope, that people can and will help. Plus, it'll show that you're someone they can talk to. To know that someone wants to help you, is a wonderful feeling.
Bullying and people will get us nowhere but if we were to start putting ourselves in someone else's shoes and start standing up for each other, bullying could be gone. There are a few celebrities out there who are really activists when it comes to bullying. In fact, recently, following Jamie Rodemeyer's death, Lady Gaga went to meet with President Obama to see about instating a law against bullying. Lady Gaga, no matter how weird and off the wall she may be, stands for equality. Demi Lovato and Tyra Banks also stand against bullying. They all know how it feels to not be liked and to be targeted, they want to stop it just as much as the parents and friend of those bullied souls. What they're doing is important, they're helping show this generation that bullying is not okay. Just like tobacco, drunk driving, drug abuse, bullying KILLS.

Yogi Bear

I am sitting here watching Yogi Bear in the living room. This movie really isn't anything like the cartoon:/ The voice of Yogi is way off. That cartoon was golden and this movie is just a letdown.

You know what they say: They don't make 'em like they used to.

For The Love A Daughter

I love this song by the fabulous Demi Lovato<3 Her father was an alchololic and didn't treat her, her sister, or her mother like a father or man should. It showss off not only a personal story similar to her single Skyscraper but it speaks to any person who's had problems with their mother or father.

I love the song because my bio father has never acknowledged my existence. He doesn't even claim me. My sister by him does though. Anyways, this song is sort of like my emotional release for him. If I ever talked to him, this song would be playing in my mind. Especially the lyrics "How could you push me out of your world? Lied to your flesh and your blood." as well as "How could you throw me right out of your world, so young when the pain had begun. Now forever afraid of being loved." The song just really speaks to me.

It's really sad how many men don't stand up and take their place in their childrens' lives. They had enough manhood to go out  and have sex, but not enough to care of the product? Uh-uh I don't think so. Demi is really brave for putting this out there. I thank her for that, because I now know I am not alone<3

"People haven't always been there for me. Music has."~ Taylor Swift

I think it's safe to say people are shady, sketchy creatures. People judge, hate, discriminate, hurt each other all the time.

But the point of this is music. Music is ALWAYS THERE FOR YOU. Music is reliable, dependable. No matter what you're feeling, there's a song that goes with that feeling. Feeling alone and outside the norm? There's "The Outside" by Taylor Swift, "Outside Lookin In" by Jordan Pruitt. Feeling like unstoppable and unbreakable? "Unbroken" by Demi Lovato, "Skyscraper", "Firework" by Katy Perry, "F*cking Perfect" by P!nk. Whatever your problem, there's a song for that. THAT is why music gets me through everything. Sometimes people just simply can't help. And that's okay. Because I know that through music not only did an artist but many people around the world are feeling JUST LIKE ME. Music is life. <3
